Welcome to the ERIN website.

ERIN is a consortium of specialist organisations and networks that provide support services to the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in the East of England. Our website aims to make access to specialist information, best practice and resources easier for the VCS in our region. Themes covered reflect ERIN members’ knowledge and expertise and complement the wealth of information already provided by COVER.

Behind the acronym: introducing ERIN

Together ERIN members demonstrate the diversity of the VCS as their area of expertise and communities of interest extend from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) to older people’s issues; and from rural communities and faith-based groups to people with disabilities. The list of ERIN members can be accessed here. For more information about ERIN, please contact COVER, ERIN's lead body, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Survey of VCS infrastructure support in the East

An important legacy of the FERI project is the evidence base we gathered through our online survey of VCS support and development services in July 2011. The aim of the survey was to establish an up to date picture of infrastructure support across the East of England in the first months of the 2011/2012 financial year.

We were delighted with the level of response and we thank the 105 organisations who took part. We are also grateful to our funder, the Big Lottery Fund, for all their support.

To read the summary report, please click here. The full report of the survey can be downloaded here (please note: this is a large file of 5MB).
