Welcome to the ERIN website.
ERIN is a consortium of specialist organisations and networks that provide support services to the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in the East of England. Our website aims to make access to specialist information, best practice and resources easier for the VCS in our region. Themes covered reflect ERIN members’ knowledge and expertise and complement the wealth of information already provided by COVER.
ERIN is supported through the FERI Project (Frontline Engagement through Regional Infrastructure) with funding from the Big Lottery Fund until August 2012. FERI acts as a delivery vehicle for ERIN and is responsible for the management of the ERIN website.
Behind the acronym: introducing ERIN
ERIN members operate at a regional or a sub-regional level and they come together to discuss shared issues, exchange information and good practice, and work jointly on specific projects. Together they demonstrate the diversity of the VCS as their area of expertise and communities of interest extend from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) to older people’s issues; and from rural communities and faith-based groups to people with disabilities. 2011/2012 ERIN survey of VCS support and development services
As part of our research and evidence gathering activities, we carried out an online survey in July 2011 to establish an up to date picture of infrastructure support across the East of England. We were delighted with the level of response and we thank the 105 organisations who took part. To read the summary report, please click here.
